The TV tower on the Avala hill

 

The television transmitter, situated on the Avala hill, was erected in 1965, based on the project designed by the architects Uros Bogunovic and Slobodan Janjic and the ingeneer Milan Krstic. The height of the overall object was 200 meters. The tower served as a relay for the postal traffic. The platform, which was erected on the 117-135 meters of altitude, contained a representative, floating, six cornered restaurant, and the walking paths equipped with the telescopes for watching Belgrade.
