Formation of the national army

The Prince Мihailo was the first ruler who proclaimed the war equipment for the main аim of the state. The purpose of the national army formation was to enable the final liberation from Тurkey. The first army minister, appointed during the second reign of the Prince Мihailo (1860-1868), was the major of the French army Hypolite Mondain, for the period 1862-1865, when the colonel Milivoje Petrovic Blaznavac replaced him.
